Italian born iranian Behrang began his studies in the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole with P. Farulli, and continued his training in Germany, first in the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf and later in the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock.
Member of the most prestigeous youth orchestras as principal viola, such as the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana, the European Youth Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, he further collaborated with several professional orchestras, among which the Symphonica Toscanini, the Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Parma and the symphony orchestras of Tenerife, Galicia and Comunitat Valenciana. Invited by Maestro Claudio Abbado to join the Orchestra Mozart, was given the opportunity to approach the instrumental practices of the baroque and classical eras on period instruments.
He has been a member of the Real Filharmonia de Galicia since 2009 and, since 2012, of the West Eastern Divan Orchestra directed by D. Barenboim. He also has an extensive experience in chamber music: founder of the Escher Quartet, more recently he has been appearing in various chamber music ensembles with world-famous musicians such as G. Braunstein, D. Waskiewicz, W. Christ, E. Bronzi, J. Zoon, L. Borrani and A. Allegrini.
